Why work with me?
It’s normal to feel a little vulnerable when you’re ready to share your story. By partnering with a trustworthy and experienced editor, not only will be confident in your manuscript but you’ll also attract a wider audience with a professionally edited book.
Who am I and what do I offer?
I’ve been working as an editor and proofreader for several years, editing everything from business articles to fiction. Here are a few details about my education:
- I graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in English.
- I’m a member of the Editorial Freelancer Association (EFA).
- I’ve been professionally trained by EFA and Knowadays, earning certificates in developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
It takes a keen eye to edit a manuscript, but I believe there’s more to it than just crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. A good story speaks to the heart of a reader. They become emotionally invested and identify themselves in certain aspects of every character, even the antagonist. When I’m evaluating a manuscript, I take an in-depth look at the characters to ensure they’re realistic, complex, and relatable. With the right combo of character development, tension, and description, readers won’t be able to put your book down.

While I’m open to editing and reading just about anything, I do have a few favorite genres, which include:
- fantasy
- romance
- historical fiction
- memoir
- contemporary
- gothic
Some of my favorite books include The Wolf Den trilogy, The Forgotten Ones trilogy, and The Frozen River. I’m also a big Stephen King fan, and give me all the witchy books!
